Old Bishop Palace - Solar do Dão

The Palace was used for different functions through out the centuries. Besides being the bishops residence; its served as hospice in 1677; later it become a Militar quarter after its possesion was taken from the Church in 1912. (after the Republic implantation); it was also a Reclusion house, and later was occupied by families who had come from the ex Portuguese Colonies.
